A B C D... i m learning alphabets

I know it's too late to publish this but what i had done during thetimes when i was running between home, hospital, office and naani house, i was writing snippets and keeping them in draft so that i could complete and publish them later on. this is what I am doing with this post!!! This one was originally written on 15 May.

i know it sounds as though we have been pushing Devaangi into learning early but lemme assure you this is not the case. Devaangi on her own is choosing alphabets that she likes and keeps saying then throughout the day!!!
the first alphabet that Devaangi learnt was M and i guess she picked up this letter from maa, mummy or mum words that we would use while speaking to her. Whole day Devaangi would keep uttering M M M.... bus phir kya tha like all other activities she soon got bored of MM and one night we had switched all lights and were just going to sleep when Devaangi started saying Bey bey Bey... yes bacha had found a new letter. since then we have so much of laugh when we hear Devaangi say bey bey bey as it sounds bebbey... and u know the reason why? we are panjus, and in punjabi bebbe stands for old lady!!!
just waiting for pucha to start speaking!!!

Puchu is truly a tech baby!!!!!

Yes ji hamar bacha truly nextgen oops this gen bacha hai… all she wants is modern gadgets and to grab and play with them she’s even willing to forgo her pyaare pyaare khilone!!!

Jee haan yeah solha aane sach hai ki puchu ko shuruaat  ke mahino se hi maa ka mobile, maa ka laptop dikh jaye bus.. woh sab bhool jaat hai and tries her best to grab these gadgets. Who bhi kya kare yeah uska kasoor nahi hai hi tech zamaane ki hai naa… ordinary khilone use pasand hi nahi aate.. infact abhi while I m typing this post, she is sitting quietly next to me all tangled between my phone ke earphones J pata nahi kya swaad aata hai usse earphones ki cable mein ki mooh se nikaalti hi nahi hai .. and you try to pull the cable out of her mouth and see bacha protesting. Sher jag jata hai aur poore ghar ko bhi jaga deta hai

Coming to the electronics one by one… I’ll start with phones first. Puchu ko maa, daadi ya daadaji ka mobile or cordless dikh jaaye yaa she sees any of us talking on phone phir kya hai bacha tries to grab the phone and puts it in her mouth. Pata nahi phone mein kya swaad aata hai jo bacha doesn’t want to leave it. If u are on phone, woh bahut shoor machaati hai par jaise hi phone uski awaaz nikalni band ho jaati hai aur sanaata kar deti hai…

Ab aati hai baari laptop ki… puchu bus dekh to le maa ko laptop kholte hue, madam bed pe kahi bhi ho immediately crawl kar ke or roll over kar ke she reaches the laptop and tries to strike the keys aur who bhi is tarah se that they come out!!!! Are maa ka office ka laptop hai personal nahi bachu… please be careful… company ne doosra nahi dena hai!!

Par mera bacha to bindaas hai use kya farak parta hai… uska kaam bigarna hai aur ma aka theek kkarna J love you mischievous  look when you do this.. par bacha ji aap khatarnaak hote jaa rahe ho.. aaj to aapne maa ko daraane ke saath saath advance notice de diya. Today I put puchu in her cot and was working on the laptop while lying on the bed. Suddenly peeche se bache kaa haath aaya and like a missile hit  the laptop.. yes ji mera bacha 6 inch waale scale ki height ka cot divider cross karke ( and not to forget her soft toys and pillows ka barrier too)  bed pe crawl kar ke pahuch chukka tha aur who bhi kya karne- guess karo … yes ji bilkul sahi guess kiya aapne -to play with the laptop. Aur yeah ek baar nahi my bachu did this twice J
meri nanhi si pyari si natkhat laadli bachi… u are becoming dangerous day by day.. ab aap pe nazar rakhne ki liye koi chahiye aur who bhi 24 hrs…..

Vrooooooooom bhrum bhrum

Yes this is what my bacha does now days. Puchu darling goes around saying vrooooom, brum, brum throughout the day. Yeah sa sun ke mujhe mera bachpan yaad aa jaata hai when we kids would play imitating the sound produced by bikes and go about doing brum  brum as though someone is giving bike kaa accelerator without moving it.
Bilkul yehi mere bache ka bhi haal hai. And the best part is when she is going on doing brum brum in maa’s lap and suddenly papa takes her away. (Kya Karen papa ka bhi pucha ke bina man nahi lagtha J) bus the very moment bacha starts crying aur minto mein yeah bade bade aansoo bacha tapkaane lagta hai ki pooch mat. lekin the moment I  take her in my arms all rona dhoona is forgotten and the bacha goes accelerating her bike again brum brum…. Vroooooooom !!! lagta hai ki dhoom 3 mere hi ghar mein hoga J good going bacha par maa and papa ki tarah speed limits mat cross karna…

Yesterday's visit to Bade Mandir

This post is actually more of a satsang that describes how our bachha is bonding with Guruji.
Like every week, this week too we went to Bade Mandir ( yesterday). Bade Mandir is our Guruji's mandir and Devaangi is his blessing to us. Devaangi has been going to Guruji's place ever since she came home (she was just 2 days old when we first took her to bade mandir!!)
Across all our visits to bade Mandir we have observed that bachha is really a very well behaved there. She doesn't create tantrums or shor sharaba there like many other children of her age.
Par kal ki baat hi niraali thi. pichle kuch dino se bachha is irritable. Maybe it is because she is teething. As a result she doesn't go to any one. Par mandir mein all that changed.
I sat in the verandah outside the main hall with bachha while papa was away at sewa. To keep her occupied, I gave Devaangi her squeeze toy. bachha took the toy and promptly threw it away and then turned towards me to give a big smile (Devaangi is now a days in a habit of taking things and throwing them down).
While the shabads were on, bachha was busy playing quietly. Itne mein her Chavi aunty came and she took bachha in her laps. Woh Devaangi jo aajkal kisi unkown ke paas nahi jaati, immediately went to Chavi aunty. Itne mein mantra jaap started and bachha promptly became quite. She sat quietly in Chavi aunty's lap during the mantra jaap while holding aunty's finger in one hand and staring at Guruj's picture nonstop. Pretty surprising especially since bachha met aunty after couple of months aur is age mein bachha agar kisi ko ek hafta naa dekhe to bhool jaata hai.
par yeah to shuruaat thi. When ma and papa went for langar, there they met Pal aunty who offered to hold Pucha while maa and papa had their langar. Aur kya tha aap maanoge nahi Pucha Pal aunty ke paas bhi chali gayi :-) :-) she was quiet in Pal aunty's arms.Par jaise hi maa and papa ka langar khatam hua, Pucha ki nazar maa pe gayi and she started crying.
Moment i held her, pucha became quiet. uske baad papa went back to sewa while bacha continued to be with me all the while playing merrily.
jab hamare jaane ka time aaya and we went to the main haal to take aagya, Pucha was in papa's arms. Jaise hi hum main haal mein ghusse, Pucha's eyes fell on Guruji's picture that is there on the right side of the hall and immediately she started smiling and jumping in papa's lap as though wanting to reach Guruji. We then came back home and on our way back hum yahi baat kar rahe thi ki ise kehte hain Guruji ke saath direct connection.

Gyming all the way !!!!!

No no i do not mean that Devaangi is sweating out in the Gym. I am talking about her play gym that keeps her engrossed the entire afternoon and the late evenings post my bachha's dinner!!!
The play gym was a gift from pucha's bua and uncle who adore her like anything... by the way isse pehle ki hum aage bade time to introduce another nickname of Devaangi i.e. puchha or puchhu as maa and daadi lovingly call out to Devaangi with...
When the gym first came Devaangi was hardly 2 months old so it did not make much sense to her.. every one at home would place the gym over puchu's crib hoping that she will pull the toys hanging form it.
but this did not happen for another couple of months. Till then pucha would merrily or at times with a disinterested look at the toys which the others in the family would play with ro keep the bachha occupied or at least devlop her interest in the gym. During those initial months the gym would be able to occupy Devaangi for 10-15 mins at max after which she would start calling out to people to rescue her!!! this is what it looked like from the tone and  pitch of puchu's call...
pehli bar on 9th dec 2011 at nana house Devaangi on her own tugged at one of the toys hanging from the gym. I on seeing this immediately captured the same on my phone. Wait till i upload the video. Phir kya tha Devaangi started playing with the gym..  i know you thought this is what happened. par nahi aisa kuch nahi hua.. the initial story of others playing with Devaangi's gym continued till about a month back. One  person who really enjoyed the hanging toys of the gym is Devaangi's cousin yaani chota sa Ritvik bhaiya. Ritvik would take the toys out of the gym and would demand that he take them home. It used to be a task to take the toys back from him!!!
Moving back to Devaangi and her association with the gym... Since past month or so every afternoon the gym is setup in the drawing room and Devaangi is put next to it. bachha has started enjoying the gym a lot. In fact even when he is left on her own, Devaangi plays with the gym. She pulls the toys, loves seeing her own reflections in the hanging mirror, pulling at the musical toys and now even tries to get up while holding the gym. This is risky as the gym is light weight and the way bachha holds on to the gym and puts her weight on it to get up!!!!
yes mera bachha ab khade bhi hone laga hai!!!!
baaki will be covered in next blog...till then happy playing bachha!!!

Devaangi likes… Going OUT!!!

Almost every evening I try and take Devaangi out for a stroll. Even though Devaangi is a few months old, she understands that if maa or anyone else  has stepped out of the house onto stairs while carrying her, they are going OUT!!! All one has to do is hold Devaangi in their arms and go near the stairs. At this point Devaangi gets so charged up that she starts jumping and laughing. Her excitement is very evident and it becomes difficult to hold her least she gets out of your arms.  If you try to call out to her from the door, she will hear you but not even look back least you hold her back irrespective of who is calling her. It’s like she knows that she is going out and if she looks back may be the person calling out to her will hold her back which she doesn’t want should happen. Yeah hain aaj kal ke bacche. You simply can’t keep them indoors.
And now another thing has also happened. Devaangi loves going for rides in her stroller. We keep the stroller upstairs in the hourse and typically whenever hubby or me are taking Devaangi out for a ride, the maid gets the stroller downstairs. Even before we open the stroller and set it up for Devaangi , baccha lets out squeals of joy and tries to jump out of our arms into the stroller even before it is SETUP for HER!!!

Kuch aisa rides mein bhi hota hai jab hum papa ke saath rides pe jaate hain. Devaangi now does not want to sit in my lap but wants to stand. This is also one of her recent developments. Moment I make Devaangi stand, she tries to reach out to audio system controls, gear and most often to the blower outlets that she tries to open and close with her tiny fingers. Aur ek cheez jo Devaangi ko pasand hai is to place her palms flat on the car side window and look out. This is slightly dangerous as baccha has also started to try and explore the controls on the door. I can now no longer afford to get distracted with baccha in the car kyonki pata nahi Devaangi ab kya kar baithe. Time to be more VIGILENT!!!

My toothless buddha is no longer toothless :-)

Yes Devaangi is no longer toothless. Yesterday(30 apr) her first tooth right side incisor surfaced J for past 2 days Devaangi was slightly irritable but only at night where she was waking almost every hour and take a little feed before sleeping again. I however contributed this to change in places ( on Saturday we were at naani house and on Sunday we were back home) so I thought Devaangi’s sleep pattern had changed because of it. And yesterday while feeding her khitchri, daadi discovered the tooth in Devaangi’s mouth. can’t  express the joy that I felt on hearing this news as I had been waiting for long for this day!! Thankfully Devaangi is not experiencing any major teething related problems till now except for sleeplessness at night along with some irritability and loss of appetite… she has hardly been eating anything  for past 2 days…
Just hoping that your rest of the teeth also come out without much pains to you.. God bless you bacha.
